Project GTI

Sometime this week My VW MKIII GTI VR6 will be getting a little upgrade.  I am having a Kinetic stage one turbo charger installed.  The paint chips on the front hood are screaming out for attention so sometime this winter I will have the GTI painted. Photography and my VW GTI

I am going to spend the summer learning basic photography.  I am teaching my self through the Photo Workshop series (Wiley Publishing)

PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM – photography, digital imaging, photo sharing, photo equipment, photography news and information.  and the on-line  Digital Photography Tips: Digital Photography School.  Also I am going to be shooting video along with my still photography. I am shooting with a Canon 7D and a Canon XH A1.

My 1997 VW GTI VR6 is the subject of my first lesson on composition. Not a great first time out but I did manage to get a few pictures that I like. My goal was to view and shoot the GTI from a verity of angles. Clearly I have a lot to learn but it is a start.

I’m In Love With Dubbs

I have a friend who for some reason started to annoy me. I never felt like I could just walk away from my friend. Several years back we lived in separate states only seeing each other occasionally.  It is fair to say my friend and I just drifted apart. I found a new friend, a bigger friend who made an average guy like me feel, well powerful. While I could never hurt my friend, I unfortunately smacked my friend; leaving my friend with a nasty little scare. Nothing to serious mind you and for the most part the average person would never notice but look closely and you will find it.

 It was this past weekend when I really started to re-connect with my friend. Maybe it was the long Minnesota winter. Maybe it was just the yearning for something a little different. What ever it was this past weekend I fell back into love with dubbs. My love for dubbs is as strong as ever. I enjoy taking my dubbs out and parading  him around the neighborhood. I love it when people see me with my dubbs, especially when they give me the sneer of disapproval. I pay them no attention as I step on the gas and shift into third gear.
