I came across the below article from the Denver Post. Since the mid 1990’s there has been a chorus of experts calling for a modernization of the current FAA rules governing flight and duty regulations. As a career Regional Airline Pilot I welcome the proposed FAA changes on rest and duty time regulations. I just hope on some perverted level this does not circle back to some how justify the airlines to impose a new round of pay cuts on us.
What are your thoughts and fears on the subject. please feel free to leave a comment below.
FAA retools rules to keep pilots trained, refreshed – The Denver Post .
It will be interesting to see what comes out of all of this, as many commercial pilots are not being represented in this “call to action” pow-wow in DC. All I can say is any regulation of commuting will put the flying public on a train.
