Is Meaningful Change Coming To The Regional Airline Industry?

I came across the below article from the Denver Post. Since the mid 1990’s there has been a chorus of experts calling for a modernization of  the current FAA  rules governing flight and duty regulations. As a career Regional Airline Pilot I welcome the proposed FAA changes on rest and duty time regulations. I just hope on some perverted level this does not circle back to some how justify the airlines to impose a new round of pay cuts on us.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of all of this, as many commercial pilots are not being represented in this “call to action” pow-wow in DC. All I can say is any regulation of commuting will put the flying public on a train.
